About Dr. Tamara Sharp DNP, PMHNP-BC

Experienced board certified Advanced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in mental health care treatment for children, adolescents, and young adults. Doctor of Nursing degree from University of Arizona, with doctoral studies and published work related to compassion fatigue and trauma/secondary traumas. Mayo Clinic transplant nurse for 13-years, with emphasis on whole organ transplant and critical patient care.

After completion of a psychiatric doctoral nursing degree and Arizona State Board Certification in 2018, Dr. Sharp has focused upon providing mental health care services to underserved clients within Arizona communities. A compassion based and holistic approach is used to balance prescribing medications with psychotherapy treatments.
